• User Accounts: The App does not require you to create an account.
• Server Storage of Your Content: The text content you enter or paste into the App is processed locally on your device to display the text and generate Pinyin annotations. We do not transmit, store, or access your text content on our servers.

2. Information We Collect

The App collects only the following limited information, stored locally on your device:

• User-Provided Text Content: The Chinese text you input into the App is stored locally on your device to enable the App's core functionality (displaying text and Pinyin). This data remains on your device and is under your control. You can delete it by clearing the text field or uninstalling the App.
• App Preferences: We use your device's local storage (specifically shared_preferences in Flutter) to save your preferred font size multiplier. This is solely to enhance your user experience by remembering your setting for future sessions. This preference is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us.

3. How We Use Information

• User-Provided Text Content: Used solely to render the text and its corresponding Pinyin within the App on your device.
• App Preferences: Used solely to apply your chosen font size when you use the App.

4. Data Storage and Security

All information processed or stored by the App (user text and font size preference) resides locally on your device. We do not have access to this data. While we build our App with standard development practices, please remember that no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for the security of your own device.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not share any information collected by the App (as described above) with any third parties.

• Google Fonts: The App may utilize Google Fonts to display text. Google Fonts may collect non-personally identifiable information as part of providing its service (e.g., aggregated usage statistics). Please refer to Google's own privacy policies for more details on how they handle data (https://policies.google.com/privacy). We do not share your specific text content or preferences with Google Fonts.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for a general audience but may be used by parents or guardians to assist children in learning Chinese. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the relevant minimum age threshold in applicable jurisdictions). All data processing occurs locally on the user's device. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information without your consent, please contact us.

7. Your Choices

Since all your text content and preferences are stored locally:

• You can delete your text content at any time by clearing the input within the App.
• You can reset your font size preference within the App's controls.
• You can remove all locally stored data associated with the App by uninstalling it from your device.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App or on our website (if applicable). You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes are effective when they are posted.
